I have considered to try and become a graphic designer for a long time. But I have kind of given up on it. For a few reasons. 1: I can't draw. 2: I don't think I'm that creative. For example my youtube logo. I made it myself. But the wolf is made out of someone else his drawing. Because I'm not capable of doing that myself..

I studied art direction advertising, but only end up getting contract jobs and they let me go without me getting hired… I am currently struggling right now living in my dad's house and im 26. Be warn, do not major in this field unless you love designing and learn some coding. that will help you. Digital design with some video and coding knowledge will do… but overall major in something that the world needs like computer science. FUCK THIS FIELD. COMPANIES ASKING FOR TEST PROJECT ONLY A FUCKING HOUR WITH SHIT COMPUTER. YEP, ALSOWITH SPEC WORK IN DISGUISE …..

The creative industries are like sports. If you have the talent you can make it. The majority of people aren't good enough and need to let go. No matter how much you practice and learn all the technical skills you might just lack the creativity. Just like you could run everyday but never make the olympics.

But if you're beginning, how do you put your designs to sell? are there websites that doesn't charge you for membership and monthly fee stuff? Is there any web which only charges you with a percentage of what you get?

Passive income and "lazy" income are two different things. People think artists are "lazy" because we dont have a "conventional" job. Yet, if you ask me, id rather do business with a company that has put effort into their marketing and design than the one that hasnt. So you tell me if you think designers and artists have an impact on how many customers a company receives. Think about apple vs samsung. Apple has more control over the quality and quantity of their ads. So in the end, although samsung is more innovative, apple gets the most customers.
